Girls’ basketball starts out season with dominant win

The girls’ varsity basketball team opened up the season with a 45-32 win today over the St. Vincent De Paul Mustangs.

The girls were dominant the entire game, never losing their lead after scoring the opening basket. Senior Ariella Rosenthal led the Giants in scoring with 12 points, while Lauren Hutchinson added 9 of her own.

In her first game with the varsity team, freshman Jaiana Harris made the game’s only three-pointer and a layup.

The team will play next Tuesday at Piedmont High School.
