Redwood varsity boys’ water polo defeated Tam in the final game of their regular season 11-4.

Redwood had an early lead, up 3-0 by the end of the first quarter.

“I think we came out strong, which is important,” junior Jack Racich said.  “Sometimes we slack in the beginning and this time we pulled ahead in the beginning, so we got in their heads, and they started making bad passes.”

Although it was a higher scoring game than expected, the game’s success was due to the defense’s improvement, according to team captain Tom Cavanaugh.

“This was probably the best defense we played since we played S.I. at the beginning of the season,” said head coach Rudy Kardos.
