Principal David Sondheim is offering an opportunity for students to be heard, with the formation of the new Principal’s Student Advisory Council.

Sondheim sent out an email today at 9:15 a.m. to the student body, advertising this new program that all students are eligible to apply for.

Consisting of ten students with various backgrounds, the program is intended to allow students to communicate with the administration through four scheduled meetings over the school year.

According to the email, however, the council is intended to serve “in an advisory capacity and is not a decision-making body.”

All meetings will be facilitated by Sondheim and an assistant principal.

The meetings are currently scheduled for Nov. 13, Jan. 15, March 19, and May 21, running from 1:40 p.m. to 3:10 p.m.  They will be held in the Room 12 conference room.

All applications are due 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 22 to Room 144, or can be emailed to [email protected].
