Spook your tastebuds with these Halloween treats

Trick or treat yourselves! With the spookiest holiday almost here, it is time to get in the spirit of Halloween. Over years of traditions, this special holiday has developed into a day of indulging in sweets and dressing up in costumes. This year, ditch the candy bars and gather your friends and family to try these creative recipes that are to die for. 

Mummy in my tummy cake-bites 

 (Serving size: 22)

These no-bake cake balls are a quick and creative treat to enjoy on Halloween. The flavors are overwhelmingly rich and the texture is ever so soft. The chocolate layer pairs perfectly and adds a delicious touch. Aside from being absolutely scrumptious, these cake bites are a fun treat for Halloween enthusiasts to enjoy. Up your Halloween game and serve this at spooky parties or silently indulge on your own. It’ll be love at first bite.

Staring at their creators, the mummy cake balls glimmer in icing.

Ingredients:

  • 2 packs of Oreos
  • 8-ounces cream cheese 
  • 2 cups white chocolate baking chips
  • White and black gel glitter icing 

Directions:

  1. Start by separating the white Oreo “creme” from both packs of Oreos and set aside in a bowl.
  2. Crush the Oreo cookies in a bag until crumbled.
  3. In a stand mixer, combine cream cheese and the Oreo “cremes” you set aside. 
  4. Begin to slowly add your Oreo crumbs to the cream mixture and mix until doughy then set the dough aside.
  5. Grab a small plate and lay parchment paper over it.
  6. Roll the dough into small balls and place on the pan. Let them sit in the fridge for 15-20 minutes. 
  7. Melt two cups of white chocolate baking chips (on the stove or in a microwave).
  8. Once melted, grab your Oreo balls from the fridge. Then, poke a stick into the center of each of the Oreo balls, and dip them into the chocolate until sufficiently covered. 
  9. Let the Oreo balls sit in the fridge for about 15-20 minutes to allow chocolate to harden. 
  10. Take your white and black gel icing, drizzle the white icing over the balls, then dot two black eyes on the ball with your black gel icing. 
  11.  Cool in the fridge for 15-20 minutes until the icing is hardened.
  12. Place on a platter and serve. Enjoy!

 

Fa-boo-lous pumpkin cookies 

(Serving size: 20)

These colorful pumpkin cookies will kick off your Halloween with a delicious bite. Transform your plain Nestle Toll House cookie dough into a mouth-watering treat with this fall-inspired recipe. With a warm gooey pumpkin center and smooth cream cheese frosting, it will feel as if you took a bite of Autumn itself. Do not be afraid to try these spooktacular cookies!

Sparkling with festive glitter and sprinkles, these cookies are to die for.

Ingredients:

Cookies:

  • 1 pack Nestle Toll House pumpkin spice cookie dough

Cream-cheese icing:

  • 8-ounce block cream cheese
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups powdered sugar

Decoration:

  • White and black gel glitter icing
  • Orange and purple sprinkles

 Directions:

  1. Bake the cookies as directed on the package.
  2. While the cookies are baking, using a stand mixer, start mixing your cream cheese, butter and vanilla extract together until smooth. 
  3. Slowly start to add in the powdered sugar, mix until fully incorporated. 
  4. Once cookies are finished, allow to cool in the fridge for about 20 minutes. 
  5. After cooling, use a baking spatula to spread icing completely over the top of the cookies. 
  6. Use sprinkles to cover the cookies, and shake off any excess. 
  7. Then, take your black gel icing and write out “BOO.” 
  8. Feel free to add any excess decor: polka-dots, glitter, stars, etc. 
  9. Layout on a platter and indulge!
