JV Report: Girls’ basketball begins season with win against Piedmont

Redwood blocks a Piedmont layup attempt on Tuesday night in Larkspur.

On Tuesday, Nov. 20, the girls’ junior varsity basketball team defeated Piedmont in their first game, winning 13-6 in Larkspur. The game was tied for much of the first half, but the Giants took a 6-4  lead into halftime and never relinquished the lead.

The second half continued to be a defensive struggle but the game finished with the Giants winning 13-6, more than doubling the score of Piedmont.

The Giants next play on Saturday, Nov. 24, against George Washington at home.
