‘Views’ doesn’t live up to the ‘Hype’, but displays Drake’s versatility

“Views” is the highly anticipated fourth studio album by music phenomenon/pariah Drake, and it’s as complex and conflicted as the man behind the music.

Drake combines club bangers seemingly leftover from his most recent mixtape, “What a Time to Be Alive” with soulful songs about girls that did him wrong reminiscent of many tracks like“Nothing was the Same.” In addition, he also includes tracks with simplistic hard beats and braggadocious bars to numerous songs, such as “6 Man,” from his other platinum mixtape, “If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late.”
