JV girls’ soccer team wins big against Terra Linda

Due to a dominant second half, the JV girls’ soccer team picked apart the Terra Linda defense and handed the Trojans a 4-0 defeat on Saturday.

With the win, the Giants improve to 2-0 in the regular season.

Despite missing several goal scoring opportunities in the first half, Redwood came out of the halftime break full of energy, making the Terra Linda opposition appear lackluster in comparison.

A strong shot early in the second half by sophomore Carolyn French gave Redwood a 1-0 lead in addition to the momentum.

Throughout the second half, the Giants dominated in possession and took many high quality shots from different parts of the field, keeping the Trojan defense under constant pressure.

Sophomore Jordan Overmyer’s two goals late in the second half widened the lead to 4-0 and took away any hopes Terra Linda might have had of a comeback.

Redwood will look to continue their success this season in their upcoming home game next Saturday, Dec. 12 against Tam.
