Redwood dominates at track meet

The boys’ and girls’ teams both came in first in a dual meet on Thursday at Redwood against San Marin and Justin-Siena.

The varsity boys scored 96 points against San Marin and 95 points against Justin-Siena, while the varsity girls defeated San Marin, scoring 103 points, and scoring 92 points against Justin-Siena.

First place finishers in the varsity girls section included: Glennis Murphy in the 1,600-meter run (5:18.6), Elly Lundberg in the 110-meter high hurdles (17.8 seconds), Mary Monda Oewel in the 3,200-meter run (12:14), Ember Mulcahy in the shotput (24’8.5”), and Emily Sine in the discus (84’2”).

First place finishers in the varsity boys section included: The 4 x 100 relay team (44.1 seconds), Fred Huxham in the 1,600-meter run (4:32.8), Paul Christopoulos in the 400-meter dash (54.06 seconds), Khari Haynes in the 100-meter dash (11.3 seconds), Andy Ehrenberg in the 800-meter run (2:07), Max Lukianchikov in the 300-meter low hurdles (43.8 seconds), and Jackson Cooney in the pole vault (12’6”).
