After a long and grueling five-game match, Redwood boys’ volleyball defeated Drake on Tuesday, clinching the regular season pennant.

Redwood and Drake ping-ponged individual game victories, all ending within a few points of each other, until the match was tied up 2-2, forcing the match to be settled by a fifth and final game played to 15 points.

After struggling early in this deciding battle, the boys powered to the finish in order to walk away with the victory.

This is the first time in 15 years that the Redwood’s boys’ volleyball team has been the MCAL regular season champions.
