Senior Cole Wilhite outruns Novato aggressors.

The boys’ varsity lacrosse team trounced Novato in a 11-3 win on Wednesday, March 16 at home.

The Giants had a slow first quarter, having to battle against the scorching sun and a swift and energized opponent. However, the team’s skilled passing, tight defense, effective communication, and explosive offensive movements carried them into the second quarter with a 5-3 lead. The intensity remained untarnished in the final quarters, helping the Giants reach their eventual victory.

Co-captains senior Cole Schneider and junior Jack Elders carried the team’s offense by upholding immense focus on the field and emitting confidence when driving the ball to the net. Both players scored two goals apiece.

“We were just bigger, faster, and stronger,” said senior co-captain Cole Wilhite. “Hopefully we will have good momentum to carry us into the next few games coming up.”

Redwood plays this Tuesday at University on the Red Devils’ home turf at 5:30.
