Junior Elly Lundberg finished the final game with a kill to bring the team to the state playoffs.

“It’s always been a dream of mine [to get the last kill],” Lundberg said. “It was incredibly exciting.”

According to junior Marguerite Spaethling, the team has put their best effort in throughout the entire season, and the team chemistry that has formed as a result has helped them win this pennant.

“We’ve worked our butts off the entire season– whether it’s running the mile or sprinting the stairs in freezing weather,” Spaethling said. “I think we immensely deserved this [NCS championship], and the work we put in just shows that hard work pays off.”
