Redwood triumphs after a point.

On Saturday, Nov. 15, the girls’ varsity volleyball team defeated Carondelet 3-1 to advance in the North Coast Section Division II playoffs.

After Carondelet barely squeezed out a victory in the first quarter, the Giants took the lead and won the next three games to secure the match win.

The Giants had trouble gaining ground after the initial loss, but halfway through the second game, they were tied 15-15. Redwood then stepped up to win the game.

The next two games followed the second. The Giants won the fourth game 25-17 to finish the match.

The Giants’ next NCS playoff game will be against Las Lomas High School at home on Wednesday, Nov. 19.
