The freshman football team lost 40-22 in a tough matchup against Marin Catholic on Saturday, Nov. 1.
The defensive lineup for Redwood played well against Marin Catholic, which is known to be one of the best teams in Marin, limiting Marin Catholic’s rushing yardage and forcing them to pass more often.
In the first half, Marin Catholic scored two touchdowns, and Redwood managed to score as well within the last eight minutes.
The team began to fade in the second half, allowing Marin Catholic to score a touchdown in the third quarter as well as two in the fourth. During the fourth quarter, Redwood scored a touchdown and a two point conversion and ended the quarter with yet another touchdown and conversion in the last seven seconds of the game.
This loss made the team’s record 4-4 for the season. Their next game will be at Justin Sienna this Saturday at 9:30 AM.
