On Sep. 9, Apple released a handful of new products, including the iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, Apple Pay, and the Apple Watch.

The iPhone 6 was announced in the same colors as the 5S (champagne gold, space gray, and silver) but with 4.7” and 5.5” screens. The new iPhone 6 and 6 Plus also feature a thinner design.

Unlike the previous four iPhones, these models have all sides rounded, including the top glass. Both new iPhone’s is 25 percent faster and is more energy efficient than the iPhone 5S. The iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus also achieve the best battery life of any iPhone so far, with the iPhone 6 Plus lasting for an estimated 12 hours of web browsing.

As for wireless technologies, the iPhone supports faster WiFi and cellular chips. The new cellular chip also supports VoLTE, which allows web browsing during phone calls on networks that did not previously support the feature.

The camera has seen major improvements as well. Although it is also 8 megapixels like the previous two iPhones, the camera has faster autofocus, better low light performance, and can create up to 43 megapixel panoramas that can be stitched more accurately, thanks to a new gyroscope. The 5.5” iPhone 6 Plus gains optical image stabilization over the standard iPhone 6, allowing for better low light images. The front camera brings in a lot more light and has a new sensor, meaning far better front-facing pictures that are focused better thanks to face detection. Video has also been improved to record at either 30 frames per second or 60 fps, while slow motion has been improved to 240 fps.

Apple also released a new payment system called Apple Pay. It will allow you to pay from your phone with any credit card you store on your iPhone 6, allowing you to purchase items without the merchant seeing your card or ID.

Apple also announced a new product called the Apple Watch, available for sale in early 2015 starting at $350. The models are each available in two screen sizes to accommodate different wrists. The watches will come in three trims: regular, sport, and edition – all with the same internals.

All watches share the same functionality, with a touch display, and tools to measure heart rate and body movement. The watch has customizable faces that vary in color and style. It supports apps like a timer, fitness apps, as well as other, more social apps.

The watch has messaging features unique to messages between Apple Watches. Users can send custom emojis, drawings, taps that are repeated in pressure and length, and even pulse readings.

The regular model comes in either stainless steel or black stainless steel. The sport band only comes in silver aluminum or space gray aluminum, but has a choice between white, black, blue, green and red bands. The edition model comes in 18-karat gold or rose gold bodies. What makes this technological watch stick out from the rest is the choice of bands. Aside from the sport bands, Apple has also created a modern buckle, classic buckle, link bracelet, milanese loop, and leather loop.
